As a child, I loved all the stories and films about hunting. I didn't know much about hunting, but I had a feeling that something big was waiting for me out there.
Growing up as a hunter in Germany was far from romantic. Freezing nights, tough lessons from my instructors and many challenging experiences shaped the way I hunt today. These experiences taught me that the wilderness is neither polite nor kind, but honest and deeply humbling. Over time, I realised that hunting isn't about trophies. It's about presence, instinct and respect for something far older than ourselves.
My journey has led me from rifle hunting to hunting birds with a shotgun, where movement, rhythm and instinct create an entirely different connection between me and the bird. For me, wingshooting is not just about taking a bird; it's about harmony. Clean shots, fair challenges, and respect for the game guide every decision I make while hunting.
Today, through Absolute Wingshooting, I share this philosophy with my clients and friends. It's not just about organising hunts; it's about creating experiences that reconnect my clients with the wild in a meaningful and authentic way. Every destination, estate and day in the field is carefully chosen: exceptional sport, genuine hospitality and unforgettable experiences.
I try to join all groups in the field to ensure that every detail runs smoothly and that each guest is well looked after from arrival to departure.

My journey into hunting wasn’t instant. For years I stood close to this world, yet chose to remain on the edge - observing and curious, but not fully stepping in. I’d been warned it might blur my professional identity. So I waited until it felt right.
Now it does.
Today I work alongside my husband - leading our marketing and client relationships, and joining you in the field and at the shows.
What began with my first hunt in Corsica five years ago has grown into something far more meaningful than I expected.
Learning to handle a gun safely and confidently gave me more than skill. It refined my focus, awareness and precision - qualities that now shape how I move through life and business.
Together, we co-founded The Diana Retreats - crafted especially for women who wish to enter this world with respect for the land, the craft, and themselves.
