Driven Pheasant & Grouse shooting - Scotland
Welcome to one of the best driven Pheasant & Grouse Shooting Lodges in Scotland.
Luxury Bird Shooting in Scotland
Welcome to one of the most exclusive & prestigious shooting, hunting and fishing Lodges in the UK. Surrounded by 22.000 acres of glorious Scottish countryside with its moors, glens, rivers and forests, this is one of Scotland’s leading sporting Estates.
Whilst salmon & trout fishing, red stag & roe deer stalking, grouse & pheasant shooting, are arguably the things the Estate is best known for, they aren’t the only reasons to visit.
Perhaps most excitingly for the sporting enthusiast is that the Estate offers the rare opportunity to try and complete the McNab challenge in one place. Born from John Buchan’s novel, the McNab is rarely achieved but the recent improvement in their grouse population means they can offer a limited number of opportunities to become a member of the exclusive club of hunters who have completed the challenge.
The Shooting
The Lodge offers fantastic driven Pheasant & Grouse shooting, evening Duck flights and challenging rough shooting on Grouse. With many different drives we can offer up to 3 days of consecutive driven shooting.
While the Grouse moors are slowly recovering from the difficult last years, they are offering only a handful driven days. But there are some very good areas for amazing walked up shooting. If you havn´t had enough, you can finish an exciting day of driven shooting with a duck flight at one of the many ponds…
The Fishing
Here, fishing is less of a pastime, and more of a passion. As a guest, you have the opportunity to experience the classic fly water fishing, with four unique beats along eight miles of the River Spey and on the Estate’s Glenmore Trout Loch. This can be enjoyed by amateurs and aficionados alike.
The Stalking
Dramatic mountainous, lowland and forested landscapes have drawn people to Scotland to stalk deer for centuries. Deer stalking requires patience, a steady nerve, and extensive fieldcraft from the hunters. The stunning wild scenery and well managed wild deer population means we can offer some great stalking on good Roe Bucks and Red Stags.
The Lodge
The majestic Lodge is the centre of life here on the Estate. Newly reopened in 2018, the Victorian hunting lodge with its 14 exquisite & comfortable ensuite bedrooms offers the guest welcome sanctuary from the world beyond their gates.
As the Lodge is home to an exclusive private members club, the access to this prestigious residence is normally reserved for members only. We are honoured to have exclusive access to this fantastic and very special place.
Beside of the main Lodge they offer also an elegant six bedroom sporting lodge nestled within the private grounds of the Estate. With breathtaking views over Speyside’s rolling hills, this beautifully appointed farmhouse is the ideal place for those looking to gather with family and friends.
The Kitchen
Believing in a seasonal, sustainable approach to food, the Estate Farm is home to a herd of prime Aberdeen Angus cattle, a small number of Wagyu, cheviot cross sheep flock, bees and chickens. The Head Chef enjoys a fully stocked larder, fresh from the farm, the kitchen garden and wider Estate. Having previously worked in some of London’s top private members’ clubs and restaurants, the Head Chef and his team take great pride in serving expertly prepared yet unpretentious food to the guests.
